Kolkata: In a major twist to the Kolkata RG Kar Medical College rape and murder case of a female doctor, the main accused, Sanjay Rai, has changed his statement, potentially altering the course of the investigation.
Sanjay Rai’s lawyer, Kavita Sarkar, revealed that Sanjay now wants to undergo a polygraph test to bring the truth to light. He maintains that he is innocent and wants the real perpetrator to be brought to justice. Sanjay has expressed his full willingness to cooperate with the ongoing CBI investigation.
Consent for Polygraph Test
Speaking to India Today, Sanjay Rai’s lawyer, Kavita Sarkar, said, “I was present when the authorities sought Sanjay’s consent for the polygraph test. He readily agreed to it.” Kavita explained the nature of the polygraph test
