Niagara Regional Police has claimed to have arrested 6 persons on the charge of drug trafficking by conducting raids at different places. According to police sources, a large quantity of drugs and illegal weapons have also been recovered from the arrested persons.
According to police officials, the action was taken based on their previous investigations and information. Police recovered drug paraphernalia, firearms linked to gangsters and economically legal paraphernalia.
The arrested persons have been charged with drug analysis, possession of weapons and several other serious offences. The police are currently engaged in further investigation.

The continuation of the investigation is expected to help in curbing crime incidents in Wiland and surrounding areas.
Police have arrested Patsy Nelson (38) of Toronto, Jody Thibault (46) of Welland, William Ostermeyer (39) of Niagara Falls, Shawn Marsh (33) of Welland, Joshua of Welland Hill (age 42) and Patricia Latham (age 41) of Welland.
